I thought Logan Tomkins was one of the better players for Salford yesterday. Is he able to play against us next Thursday or does the terms of his loan deal forbid it?

It's been a great move for him and I wouldn't be surprised if it became a permanent arrangement.

I can't see him ever coming back to Wigan. He doesn't offer anything that Williams and Powell doesn't offer and won't budge McIlorum.

I like logan but he doesnt offer enough variety in his play to take up a place on the bench for us and he hasnt progressed enough to put any pressure on MM

On the other hand if the rumours about Joel are correct , he is more likely to come to Wigan if his kid brother is still a Wigan player.

Does anyone think Wane is going to drop Williams from the bench 9 spot for Logan?
Williams at 9 and Mic Mac at 13 worked v Leeds, that combo is going to take some shifting until Lockers returns.

He may shift Williams to 6 and give Powell the bench spot but I still don't see a way in for Logan Tomkins really. He's a good player but Williams is potentially international class in the future and I think Wanes realised he's too good not to be playing.

I think the whole brother element can be overstated, it's not like any of the Tomkins brothers stayed at Wigan when they had their brother(s) at the club in the first place. I'd hope that the pull of playing for the most famous club in rugby league and a good chance to win trophies would be a big enough pull if we can put together enough money to go with it (which surely we should be able to given the cap rules for home grown players which Salford shouldn't be able to match). I can see him using us as a springboard to get into the NRL but I'd still go for him, 2/3 years with him playing for us is better than 2/3 years of him playing for Salford or whoever
