pre buy a ticket £22.50.... but usually the club state that prices will go up on the day, in this case this wasnt stated so i didnt pre buy (yes i know the club get commission but cant always make it down to the ground and we have to pay for postage)

then turn up at the stadium and its priced at £25!

why was there no warning about this?? yes its only £2.50 but thats now the point, its the principle that somewhere along the line st helens arent warning the giants ??

this has happened before.... and yes again it was st helens, in future for st helens games will pre buy as they are robbers not warning fans about the higher price on the day

no, sometimes prices dont go up on the day.

seems st helens put them up on the day and dont tell the other club

and no it didnt say on the website, i check every away game for a ticket if its cheaper to pre buy.

Firstly, thanks for taking the trouble to email in and secondly congratulations on a deserved win on Friday.



On the subject of your ticket price however I must apologise on behalf of the club here at St Helens RFC.

As you may imagine we took the decision to close the East Stand based on the level of ticket sales which then minimises cost of stewarding, turnstile operators and kiosk staff on the night. And we are able to re locate fans in the North Stand seated area with all the same facilities so as not to ruin the viewing of the game.

However, as you pointed out we failed to amend the ticket price for that area, which is higher due to it being seating over standing, hence you were charged the higher price of £25 on the night as opposed to the terrace price of £22.50.

We will therefore refund you the difference as a gesture and once again offer our apologies.

...they built a new gents toilet block.
