Atkins alongside King seems to bring the best out of him.
They had a great game against Bradford at home last season and looked unstoppable but for some reason Smith split them up after that game until this season.

From those it looks like Bridge is the better attacking centre and Carmont better defensively to me.

Agree that Atkins and Bridge are arguably the best 2 centres in the league. The only one that comes close IMO is Carmont.
But what about other players you've been wrong about?
For me I didn't think Carvell or Solomona were going to be good signings, just shows how wrong I am.

shenton was never going to be breaking any blocks he was a very good steady centre, defensively moreso than in attack, there was never any chance he was going to undergo some metamorphosis at sintellins that would make him gleeson 2, that didn't even happen with gleeson 1.
TO me, i think they signed him cos he was available and a reasonable 'name' he's certainly not a strike player that they needed. |
