With Wakefield being hot favourites to lose its licence this year, and with it probably not allowed to come back to super league until they have a new ground, is it fair to say that in a couple of months time we will have played our last game at Belle Vue?

Whilst im all for clubs having top facilities to take the game forward i wont half miss places like Belle Vue and the Willows when they are gone. Lets Pack them both out this year and give them a good send off.

no i know the argument about new grounds having character versus new souless lego kit stadia.

but defining character as having to up a corregated metal fence or standing on a crumbling terrace that was condemmed several years ago by the H&S brigade yet is being used still with noticable cracks in it.

No i do agree that new grounds for all is the way forward, just have some memories from every clubs old ground and there wont many left at all soon.

To be honest, I'm not impressed with any of the new grounds (even tho you're not wading thru p155 whenever you go), they just lack character.

I agree totally, seems like every time we go to Belle Vue it only seems to rain/snow/hail/tornado.

The view at Salford is great, but the walk in is not nice at all.

Castleford's ground is similar to Belle Vue really (noticed tonight there is no digger in the corner either), and why do we not do what Hudds fans did tonight and stand in the corner under the shelter?
