Do enjoy the Leeds game and contrary to other fans opinions of you, i like the Rhino's fans so it would be nice to get a sizeable amount to create a good atmosphere.

Due to the nightmare of Saints away earlier in the season, I personally won't be making this trip on a Friday.
I hope plenty of others do though.
On the injury front I'm doubtful any players will be returning this week.

We'll need to up our defensive quality 100% but i think we can make a game of it.

I too love trips to HJ, but I yearn for the days when they'd let us play there on Sundays. It was such a fun, booze filled, train journey. Friday nights just aren't the same. The trains there are always packed, making it harder to relax and have a drink.

I think the reason there isn't as much antipathy with Wire fans is that they can see a lot of their club in the way Leeds have emerged over the last 10 years and fancy themselves to be able to replicate it.

A kind of grudging respect for being pathfinders in how to set up a club for success.

The night before they beat Huddersfield in the final, I asked a drunk Wire fan who would be man of the match. 'Monaghan!' he told me, so I put my money on said player, resulting in a win. I've liked them since then.

Agree with all comments , I went a few times to the old ground which was bit of a quirky ground and got on fine with everybody .
One match stands out in memory we were winning nearing the end of the game, John Bentley kicked out on the full so the wire had scrum on our twenty five line. Wire then got the ball passed it straight along the line to desi Drummond who was virtually unstoppable . He scored and we lost, not many wingers or full backs could stop Drummond in full flight. He was a bit special.

The season we finished second to Wigan IIRC.

John Bentley got a hat-trick at Wakefield the following week IIRC. He apologised 'to the lads' on Scrumdown for 'dropping a bollock' at Warrington.
