| With SBW set to earn £1.3M a year I can't really see him ever wanting to earn £200K (tops) in a wet and cold SL.

| SBW is in sport purely for the money it seems. Even if he does rejoin the NRL, it will be for one year only and probably largely to promote his boxing career. Sadly he has listened far too much to what Mundine has to say.

Isn't that why most of go to work - for the money - why do we expect sportsmen to behave differently to how we would? Their career is very short and at the end of it SBW will have made more money than most and more money than he would have he had remained in the NRL.

And in truth, is still arguably one of the best players in the game of either code.
Not something too players could ever have said.

i watch the chiefs every week to see how sonny is doing over there and hes the best in the world in union, but he was never close to being the best in the nrl he had huge potential but he was allways injured. I also think he will have a shock when he goes back to the nrl at the moment hes got it cushy in union and looks to have lost alot of pace and on the weekend he was blowing up.

| At least he'll be able to hit people in the face with his shoulder again and won't have to bother using his arms in the tackle.
He's like a bottled explosion in union, you don't get the full fat SBW experience - semi-skimmed at best.
People can go where they like and do what they like when it comes to work. Good for him, good for the NRL marketing people.

I forgot about his boxing - isn't he NZ heavyweight champion or something like that?
