In a staggering departure (having invented the tewrm 'sharticle' specifically to describe your work) I have just ticked 'article'. Why? Because there might actually be something in this. There may not be much market for a Rhinos museum (by not much, I mean near-zero), but there seems to ba an almost bottomless market for cafes in the city centre at the moment. "Cafe Rhino" with some club memorobilia, cake and coffee by day, Leeds Brewery ales by night and the odd Rhinos function/event might actually work.

This is not the standard I've come to expect of you Damo. Please restore balance by producing a list of 350 spurious and irrelevant (and occasionally factually flawed) reasons why this is a good idea.

Here's an idea for you Damo:

To spread the word of this great club why don't you hand out leaflets near barrel man at St Johns (most of the weirdest folk who hand stuff out are usually there).

I think it would be highly enteraning to see you approaching people and watching the lengths people will go to to avoid you.

Actually a cafe is a cracking idea. I shall also be ticking article instead of sharticle.

The cafe could have some of Damo's lists upon the wall, I miss Damo's lists.

I would go for a coffee and cake at Café Rhino.

I can see it now.....Damo perambulating around the various cafes in the city centre, whilst wearing an old fashioned sandwich board extolling all that is good about the Rhinos. In yer face advertising with the personal touch. It s a win/win for me!

You could even show some entreprenurial spirit Damo, and sub contract a mornings work to that mate who borrowed £20 from you and never repaid. If he bitches about the hourly rate, simply remind him about the need for a prompt settling of debts if he wants to avoid excessive charges. The lad who wants to go to Brazil could accompany you with a tray of cakes, and the lot of you could salsa down briggate in fancy dress if you wanted!

I think a cafe/bar would be a great idea. The cafe bar at Headingley has done well so i don’t see why a nice cafe bar in the city centre wouldn’t do well. However to have one in the CBD would be very expensive. It maybe worth looking at the areas of the city that has a lot of flats and development in the process. The Granary Wharf is doing really well and a cafe would do really well down here with the lunchtime trade and also the evening trade.

As for having an actual club shop in the city centre I don’t understand why the club doesn’t team up with one of the biggest retailers to come out of Leeds, Marks & Spencer’s. With the Trinity development M&S is expanding and as people will have noticed they already have started selling non-M&S branded goods in their stores. How about a Leeds Rhinos concession in M&S or any Leeds department store for that matter such as Debenhams etc? Leeds is a boom city for shopping and I do think have a concession in a department store would work not just for Leeds but for department store. It will get extra footfall from Leeds fans who may then take a look around that shop where previously they wouldn't.

First of all I just want to thank everyone for the praise! I knew I couldn’t come back and just moan about whatever Wigan have done this week. Everyone will be pleased to know that I’m working on a list but this one will be a work of art and isn’t to be rushed. It should be epic and a WTF moment when it’s finally out in the public domain.

Now I’m going to be very busy for the rest of the day. I’ve got to find 20 kind people who could potentially invest in my radio idea. Some of you may not be aware that I’ve had to quit where I’ve been volunteering for the last year due to them messing me about with this. Anyhow I’m back on track and I have some very good support behind me.

I imagine GH goes for just a short term lease on a low rent in a small unit. As mentioned, why not get a concession in M/S ,Debenhams,Top Shop etc.
