Let’s be honest, the team has been outplayed and Arthur has been out coached twice in a month by St Helens and Paul Wellens. Arthur has obviously never heard the quote “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result”. We were absolutely clueless offensively. Does Arthur fly Rohan Smith back in for the games against Saints to coach attacking plays ? It’s pointless moaning about Saints tactics and the rules not being applied properly. Guess what, the rules are never applied properly,  and the teams that will ultimately prosper are the one’s that can adapt their game on the hoof to whoever the ref is on the night and how he feels like enforcing the rules. We looked poorly coached and prepared, the players made terrible decisions, and we executed poorly. Not surprising we couldn’t score a single point even when we had all those penalties. Let’s hope we don’t meet Saints in the play offs because there’s only one winner.

Showed some of our weaknesses in attacking structure and concentration although defensively we were pretty robust. We should stop the wingers or centres shooting in it leaves obvious gaps outside to exploit. 


The lack of credible threat at hooker makes us easy to defend against when we are a bit of in the halves. 


We’re still in a decent position, win 6 of 9 remaining (including against Wakey) and we are in the 6. From there we’ve beaten everyone in it, so we are capable.

I said at the time it looked like head high Knowles was involved with the shoulder but wasn`t sure.
You would think SL top try scorer and an international centre combination would be our strongest and safest side yet they are our weakest compared to a centre who should be on the wing and a rookie full back playing on the wing.
The lack of pace in our backs with the exception of Miller doesn`t help either.
Hooker is a problem and needs addressing and it`s to be hoped we get one and preferably two players of a similar ilk to Lisone next year otherwise we won`t have the impact to trouble too many defences.
Also thought it was the wrong decision to play Smith from the start against Saints whereas before he has come on after the collisions which he is too lightweight at from the start.
