Its a fair point and we don't seem to have anyone coming through who could play right now, maybe Hirst? Nsemba is expending effort in playing as another prop at times and getting Walters back would help.

I don't get the fake positivity here. We are in a much worse position now than at this point last year, and not just because of trophies. It's actually quite astonishing how quickly we've gone backwards. Smith and Wardle's chase back for Ipape's try was utterly embarrassing.

Last night and the previous few games have been an absolute chore to watch. Yes there were a few good tackles but god knows what Tommy Leuluai actually does all week, whether he just shouts "pass it to Bevan" and "pass it to Jai" I don't know?


Getting knocked out of the cup and not having to 'peak' for the WCC was meant to be a benefit, and focus us for a strong league season. The LLS is probably out of reach now when, with a little bit of effort and playing at maybe 65% rather than 10% could've got us there. Instead it'll give HKR more confidence that they're the better team.



We also used to relish these bunch of away games as a challenge and an opportunity to go around half of SL and turn teams over in their own stadium. Now all of a sudden it's "let's get back to playing at home where we are comfortable". What has changed?

No fake positivity here at all, I'm just confident in this group of players and have seen this lull, at this stage of the season, many times before. It's happened in every season under Peet, which didn't stop him winning 7 trophies in his first 3 years in charge and before that, under Wane. The form is frustrating but I'd be surprised if it doesn't turn before long and certainly down the back straight of the last few games of the league season. 


If anyone needs a reminder of how bad we've been at times in previous seasons, they just said during the Hull v Saints game, that Hull have gone a full 12 months since their last home win. That win they mention? It was against Wigan this time last year. Let's have it right that Hull team were a shambolic disgrace last year and we got beat by them, so I can't have it things are so much worse at the minute.

Not disagreeing as such but in the last couple of seasons we have also used this period to rest players and to bring on youngsters - IIRC v Hull we had Nsemba and Eckesley, this season we are close to full strength and still looking poor. I get that we have a couple carrying injuries this year.

Where’s the guarantee that this can happen every year & it always be ok? 

In previous seasons we’ve been poor for 4-6 weeks. Not 4-6 months as we have this time.
