| After Shorrocks nearly had his head taken off towards the end i think Peroux should be arrested and taken to prison! the lad is in hospital with a possible broken neck!

| Not sure it was to his head, i think it was the sudden jolt from the shoulder charge that could of done the damage. The idea that he should be arrested though is ludicrous. When players start getting arrested for foul play in a highly physical game, thats when i stop watching RL.
I was sickened though by the apparent sly grin on Peyrouxs face whilst Shorrocks lay there

| Hardly the worst thing to happen on a rugby pitch. It shows why the shoulder charge was banned though.

| He could see that Shorrocks was injured but still flopped on him as well could have caused more injury.

For accuracy it was a shoulder charge to the shoulder resulting in a whip lash type of injury, the yellow card was reasonable because he got carried off. If the disciplinary judge it on the injury alone and not a shoulder charge to shoulder then he will cop a ban.

| Bit OTT here. It was a shoulder charge without doubt but there was no contact with the head. If we start punishing foul play based on the injury caused rather than the actual offence we are going down a very slippery road.
There have been plenty of similar offences which have got nothing more than a warning letter from the disciplinary, as frustrating as it is that’s probably all it deserves.
I’d agree the more disappointing side was his reaction afterwards as he (along with a fair number of St Helens fans) seemed quite pleased with the result of his actions

| It should be a 1 or 2 game ban at most. There was no contact to the head which means it wasn't horrendous, but it's not just shoulder charges to the head that are banned, it's all shoulder charges. They're banned because they carry an unacceptable risk of injury to players.
If you trip someone you get a ban, if you make a canonball tackle you will probably get a ban (and definitely will if you injure someone), same for a high tackle, same for any other dangerous contact charge. Injuries are aggravating factors for disciplinary matters. So if you make a shoulder charge and it results in injury, it would be ludicrous to not be at risk of a ban.
