The Speculator: Something is clearly not right, and we can now say this based on the evidence of several games. You simply don't go from having the tightest defence in the league, to conceding the Liam Hood try and similar debacles, without there being something amiss. It is pretty much the same team as last season in terms of personnel, but it doesn't look like the same team when it comes to performance. So, the important question: what happens next? Do Sam and the boys take a good, hard look at themselves, pull their fingers out, and get back to being last year's animal? Or do we fall into a long slump, with increasing bitterness, scapegoating and recriminations all round? This is Wire, folks, so draw your own conclusions!
This is what I was thinking. Something looks amiss in the group. We have a track record of this only going one way when the players get like this - with the coach paying the price. It's ingrained in our culture.
Big test for Burgess and Chambers.
