Unlucky Blackpool. They've been a breath of fresh air to the PL this season, they can score goals, they just can't defend.

Wigan stay up and Birmingham go down.... Can't complain at the results.

There's nothing 'unlucky' about it. They didn't get enough points to stay up. They've been no more of a breath of fresh air than Ipswich, Hull, Reading, etc were when they came up. And those three all at least managed to stay up - Ipswich and Reading finishing in the top seven or eight, IIRC.

They've certainly played some exciting attacking football, but were shambolic at the back at times. Could have done with getting Tony Smith in to sort their defence out.

Couldn't really give a stuff about Blackpool. They had 37 previous attempts to get points. Why all this cod sympathy.
