i really think malc will make a great coach 1 day ... reminds me of a young ANDY GREGORY .... has all the same qualitys ....

Could you clarify your point please. Do you mean to say that in order to be a great coach, you must first have been a great player?

I thought the comparison was going to be about people who turned up at training looking "unwell".

Very enlightening, 2 + 2 is now adding up to 4 after some head scratching before I read this thread. I don't think he was sent home with the hiccups as stated on the BBC Sport website!

Having been around malc off the field he is a tool sometimes and when playing didn't always behave and do what professional sportsman should do! He's probably carried on with the same behaviour and antics as a coach when he should be leading by example!

isn't is wierd that you think you can judge someone by the way they play their rugby?
As a player, Malc was all about commitment, during his best years, his defence was sensational, and he was a credit to the game.
I always though that in order to play that way, he would be a dedicated professional.
Years ago ( whilst waiting for a take away) i heard an assistant coach applauding his work ethic, saying they had just come back from Florida, and even on their day off, when players didn't have to train, Malc was still on the running machine.

Now i'm hearing stuff I don't want to hear. It's usually the "flair" players that self destruct, but Malc seems to be on a slippery slope.

Perhaps whilst playing he could keep his vices in check, but now.............
