Does anyone know examples of Super League coaches salaries?
I have noticed that Super League clubs are now recruiting previously successful NRL assistant coaches (e.g. Justin Holbrooke) or previously less successful former head coaches (e.g. Steven Price) but not recent big name successful NRL coaches (e.g. Des Hasler). I assume that is because the big name former NRL coaches are used to being paid big money. For example Craig Bellamy and Wayne Bennett earn in excess of AU$1 million a year. Bennett might be looking for a new position in 2020.
So I am wondering what Super League clubs are prepared to pay, and if a wealthy club like Leeds or Wigan could afford the salary needed to attract a big name like Bennett or Hasler.

There’s going to be a big variety in salaries, as is the case for players.
I’d guess Chris Chester and Ian Watson are paid significantly less than Brian McDermott was, or Justin Holbrook is.

Chris Chester is on 16 grand a year and tops his wages up buying and selling antique books. Francis Cummins is on expenses only but if he keeps Widnes up they’ll give him a permanent deal and an interest free loan to help him set up a qual farm.
Not sure on Justin holbrook. There are rumours but they all sound a bit far fetched. |

I reckon Powell will be a high earner on the coaches spectrum.
