This has finally been confirmed at last nights awards evening

so if anyone else is leaving it will be no sentimental farewell . Or is everyone else staying ?

I think the club are in a bit of a difficult position. I'd expect that both JJB and Delaney would be retained if we don't get back to SL, which leaves the club waiting on confirmation before telling them they are no longer required and therefore making space for the new signings that they have in the wings. Sinfield alluded to most of this when he said that we can only "push the button" when we know we are safe.

Those who have been announced as leaving so far have left of their own accord, not because the club didn't want them to stay.

So Ablett & Walters will be told too ??

Best of luck to Jimmy a player who gives his all and I would imagine he's been able to get a bigger salary and a first team spot with whoever he's signed for.

Now this probably won't be a popular opinion but I'm not that fussed if JJB, Delaney and Ablett stay on if they are on reduced salaries, we do need a overall but I think that will take a couple of seasons and I think getting rid of too many in one go could actually hamper the team, especially if we haven't got the people signed for next year, we've suffered with a weak squad this year and to get through next year I think we will need to retain at least two of these, Ablett has the most offer from those three IMO

I think retaining all 3 will be a mistake as it will simply mean that the required overhaul takes an extra season on top of what it's going to take even if we get rid of 2 of them now

It all depends on who we have lined up for next season, at least with the format change it means that if it takes us finishing middle to bottom half of the table we aren't in the ridiculous relegation scrap, I know that sounds like I'm aiming low but I'm just being realistic. Having said that look how saints and warrington turned around with a new coach, we could see a big upturn in performances next year without a huge turnaround of players, if Watkins and Garbutt can manage to have an good run without injuries that's almost like getting two new players in for the start of the season.

Although I have come to accept that Ablett has signed a two year deal, and in that respect your post does have some truth there.

I don't think Delaney will be here next year, so I don't forsee the scenario you are saying. But if him and JJB were here that would be a big mistake by the club. It isn't only about players leaving, it is about opportunities for others, and in Delaney's case the bigger issue is the quota spots, what a waste.
